About Four Point Legal

 

Four Point Legal was started by four partners with long-standing, exceptional reputations in the Portland area. With over 100 years of combined legal experience in the areas of family law, estate planning and business, we built a law firm founded on trust, respect, teamwork and results. In 2023 we welcomed attorneys Abby Cettel and Andrew Ginis to our team, and in 2025 we welcomed attorney Amanda Duncan. Four Point Legal also includes our highly respected legal staff members who bring their own extensive years of experience servicing family law and estate planning clients.

 what’s in a name?

Why Four Point Legal? It goes beyond the four founding partners that are at the heart of the firm. The name draws inspiration from solid and historical concepts such as the steadfast and unwavering cardinal directions and the four elements. A square has four sides, each one giving the other strength and ensuring equality. Four of a kind in poker is pretty great, and doesn’t always ensure a win, but it’s a safe bet. Four viewpoints ensure that all sides are being heard and considered. These and other examples of the word four are stable, even, time-tested and unbreakable.

At Four Point Legal, clients will find honest, respected and relatable attorneys and support staff that genuinely care about each person that walks through our door. We also happen to be pretty good at what we do.

The better prepared you are for your initial meeting, the better we are able to serve you. After you schedule an appointment, we will send you a list of items to bring with you to your consultation. We will also ask you to prepare a list of questions you have ahead of time to ensure we address all your concerns. At this first meeting our attorneys will take the time to listen to you and provide you with a roadmap of the process and potential issues you may face. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know one another, provide you with clear information specific to your legal needs, and determine whether we are the best fit.
